A Northern Territory family has lost an 11th-hour bid to save their son from death after they failed to prove in court he could come out of his coma.
Paulo Melo, 29, was taken off life support at Royal Darwin Hospital at 4.15pm (CST) Wednesday, although he continued to breathe on his own.
