Kimberly of Catholic family Vignettes thanks you for your prayers! She joined many families in praying the Prayer to St. Joseph. Though her husband was not unemployed, she asked that her husband's intention be included. Her husband was hoping to get a better job and he got it this week. He starts at the new job next week!
God be praised!
Thanking God for you,

Pray for the Unemployed again, Friday
PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH FOR EMPLOYMENT
Dear St. Joseph, you were given the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon our brothers and sisters in their anxiety over their present struggle to support their families due to job loss. Please help them find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from their hearts and that they soon will be able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to their care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.
Thank you for all your prayers!

Pray for Reconciliation
Eina left the following prayer request in the comments:
Please Pray for Johan and I. I care about him a lot and he is very important to me. We had a huge falling out in December and even though I have made several attempts to reconcile and bring peace he will not accept it. Please pray for a forgiving heart for us both that we can forgive each other and restore our friendship making it stronger than it was. I love Johan a lot and I care about him. I miss our friendship and would like to salvage what we had. Please pray for peace between Johan, his family, friends and I. We all used to love each other and they showed me that they do not care about me and have worked hard to break up my relationship with Johan. Please pray for peace, love, trust and forgiveness between all of us. I care about all of them still and don't want to fight with any of them. I have strived so hard for peace but they keep throwing my efforts back in my face. I need God's help and intervention in this brokenness to heal the love, trust, friendship between Johan and I and his family and friends. Thank you for your prayers. I have been praying all year and I really do want peace between us. Please pray for us. Amen.

Prayer Request for Bob & Family
I received the following prayer request from a friend:
Please pray for my husband, Bob. Three months ago we found out he has a resilient melanoma through his bones at 55 years old. We have done chemotherapy to no avail, yet, and now we are to go to Loyola Medical Center for cancer.....VERY aggressive treatment. We meet them for the first time on Thursday to find out what is available for him.
Please also pray for his wife, Nancy, and for their family.
If you are praying, would you please comment in the box below or email me, so I can share this with them? Thank you!

Thanking God for All Mothers, my gift to you
Happy Mother's Day to all you, dear mothers! God be praised for all you do for his glory and honor!
Dear sisters in Christ, may the gifts of the Holy Spirit abound in you that you may all continue the tasks God asks you to do daily. May you receive the fruits of the Holy Spirit, particularly love, joy and peace as you continue to be the mother of God's children here on earth. Amen!

The Rain Didn't Fall - Thank You God
Last week I mentioned that my son would be making his First Communion, followed by a party at the house, and I was praying for it not to rain. It didn't rain. The sun also didn't come out. And it was kind of chilly. But, it didn't rain. So people were able to be outside - and a good time was had by all.
Oh, and also, Thank God that my son did not break his neck when he fell out of the swing set. If he had landed differently, he might have.

Prayers for my Grandma V.
Any prayers you guys could give for my grandma "V." would be very much appreciated. She has recently been put back on Chemo-Therapy after several years of her breast cancer being steady, as the cancer numbers have been going up for the past several months. I visited her today and she is not doing well. She is so weak and sick she can't really get out of bed. She suffers many other health issues as well. She has Scleroderma (a tissue disease), borderline diabetes, bad arthritis, some nerve problems in her feet, sleep apnea, and can easily suffer from depression as well. Also, recently she has some sore on her arm which has given her a lot of pain. Praise the Lord she is a good Catholic, but please pray that she would stay close to Jesus through her suffering which she endures 24/7. After her last chemo treatment a few days ago, she could barely talk as she was so out of energy. It almost seems like the chemo will kill her quicker than the cancer! Please pray for her and for our family who is taking care of her. Thank you, and I will pray for you all as well!
