Msgr. William Mattimore, former pastor at St. George's Waimanalo, died Saturday (Boston area-where he is originally from) after a long battle with cancer. He was a great priest and pastor, former AF Chaplain, and a great man of God. May his soul rest in peace.

Easter, we the daily Mass goers at Sts. Peter and Paul were privileged to have Fr. Dave Travers pray continually for Fr. Bill M. at our Masses during his illness and now after he is gone. Fr. Dave left for MA yesterday and is representing the Diocese at the Funeral Mass as Bishop Silva asked him to. Please keep him in your prayers too for a safe journey.

Esther, thanks for letting me know. I will include Fr. Dave in my prayers for doing that to a fellow priest who truly was a servant of Christ. Not only was Fr. Mattimore so dedicated in his ministry, but he also served with much joy. He make people laugh before and after the celebration of the Eucharist, even at a time when he was already ailing and experiencing physical pain and discomforts. God be praised for this beauriful soul!
